Sum Chee Chuong
Associate Professor, Decision Sciences
PhD, University of Minnesota

Dr Sum Chee Chuong is currently Academic Director of the S3 Asia MBA Program. He was formerly Co-Academic Director of the NUS MBA program. An active consultant and executive trainer, he has serviced private and public organisations such as SIA, IBM, Shell, IKEA, Kaifa (Shenzhen), APP (Indonesia), Singapore Confederation of Industries, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Defence, Chartered Institute of Transport (Singapore), Singapore Technologies Logistics and CROCS. He has won teaching awards at the university and faculty levels, and is co-author of the book Operations Management, Asia Global Edition (McGraw Hill).

His current research interests are in the development of operations and supply chain capabilities, operations strategy, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and global operations management. His research has appeared in leading international journals such as Decision Sciences, Journal of Operations Management, IIE (Trans), European Journal of Operational Research, and Omega.

Before joining academia, he worked as an information systems officer in a computer organization and an engineer in an aerospace company.
